"An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty"
Dungeness

Dungeness is unique – no boundaries, a desolate landscape with wooden houses, power stations, lighthouses and expansive gravel pits. Yet it possesses a rich and diverse wildlife within the National Nature Reserve in one of the largest shingle landscapes in the world.

The communities of plants and animals living at Dungeness are unique, precious and exceptionally fragile.

Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway

For the past 88 years the Romney, Hythe
& Dymchurch Railway has been an integral part of the landscape of the Romney Marsh. Known as “Kent’s Mainline in Miniature”, our World Famous one-third full size Steam & Diesel locomotives have powered their way along the 13½ miles of track from the Cinque Port town of Hythe, terminating in
Dungeness.

With four stations in between, all within walking distance of a beach, our railway provides you with an opportunity
to explore this unique corner of Kent.

Port Lympe Reserve

Set over 600 acres, Port Lympne is home to the UK’s most authentic safari experience, The African Experience – 100 acres alive with African animals.

Visitors to Port Lympne throughout the year are promised a super, natural and epic day out as they explore wooded pathways to discover where the wild things are and see the UK’s largest herd of black rhino, big cats, small cats, primates, western lowland gorillas and more.

Littlestone Golf Club

Boasting two unique courses, The Championship Links and The Warren, Littlestone GC offers our members and visitors the chance to play their golf on superbly presented and managed links courses. Both cared for by the same team of excellent greens staff and both sharing the same stretch of Romney Marsh land, they offer two unique golfing experiences for lovers of the game.
